​At Casa Gatos we want our guests to feel at home, so we aim to create a pleasing environment through laid-back and unobtrusive hospitality combined with an intimate garden setting enclosed by a vine-clad limestone wall. Here they can find a welcome respite from the world of “getting and spending” while comfortably settled in one of our distinctive apartments fully furnished with everything needed for a satisfying vacation.​

The house is conveniently located in the heart of the residential neighborhood of North Akumal between Yalku Lagoon and Half Moon Bay. The gated entrance opens onto a quiet lane alongside a small woodland park that buffers us from the hustle and bustle of the condo zone on the beach road.  Visitors often remark that there is nothing like our neighborhood in Tulum or Playa del Carmen.

We have arranged a day pass to Yalku for our guests and discounts for return visits. When returning from the variety of activities and sites within a day’s radius: hundreds of cenotes, numerous bays, beaches and nature parks, deep water reefs; spectacular ruins of ancient Maya cities, quaint Yucatecan pueblos and Spanish colonial cities, or the tourist meccas of Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Tulum, guests can relax on their palapa shaded balconies, in the garden of desert plants on the roof or the fountain court and garden terrace.
